Working with a developer client, Ashley Road achieved the balance of maximising the site’s potential whilst also achieving good architectural design with high-end finishes.
A continued partnership with a long-standing client, the project involved the demolition of the existing tired dwelling and erection of a pair of high-end semi-detached dwellings. The key to the project was for this pair of semi-detached dwellings to seamless blend into the existing streetscene. This involved both maintaining its identity as a single dwelling plot, whilst also responding to the neighbouring locally listed building.
Feature stone surrounds make reference to the neighbouring fenestration which also set off against the stock brickwork adding an element of finesse that the client wanted to include throughout the scheme. Internally, the front bay windows to the separate lounges provide a traditional setting which lead onto the more contemporary layout for the kitchen/ dining areas. Large expanses of slim-framed glass, central kitchen islands and slot rooflights provide fantastic eating, living and relaxing spaces that lead onto the gardens.
