FlowerKittle are a Royal Institute of British Architects Chartered Practice founded in 2014 by David Flower and Paul Kittle. We are strategically located in Farnham and Bournemouth to provide architectural services to Surrey, Hampshire, West Sussex and Dorset.
We work with both new and old buildings, at a variety of scales and sectors. We offer a range of specialist services to assist with more sensitive sites and buildings such as those that are Listed or within Conservation Areas, National Parks or Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Within view of the South Downs Way, the project featured the regeneration of a site previously owned by a local artist. An existing cottage was demolished, re-built and linked to the hop kiln barn which underwent a major overhaul and renovation.
An intricately crafted pair of new-build semi-detached houses on the beautiful north Devon coastline. The project references the historic rhythm of the conservation area with subtle modern interventions.
At first glance, one would not immediately distinguish the façade of this building from others in this leafy suburb. Yet beyond the heavy front door, a home has been rebuilt with an ambitious architectural and sustainable brief.
A striking contemporary extension and renovation to an existing arts and crafts dwelling with clean lines, intriguing forms and intricate detailing. Burwood demonstrates how a contemporary response can be cohesive with traditional origins.
Complete regeneration of an existing dilapidated grade II listed barn, Browns Farm demonstrates a sensitive approach to conservation whilst also integrating contemporary principles of daylights.
